I bought tickets for the Greensboro NC show right when they became available because my wife is a huge fan, and even though I wasn't a fan of modern country music, I wanted to see Martina. At Christmas, I gifted my wife the tickets along with several Saosin gifts from his website, and she was thrilled like a kid. The week before the show, I checked the concert set list and noticed George would be performing two Johnny Cash songs. As a big Johnny Cash fan, I was concerned this might not be my cup of tea. The opening act was Martina McBride, who had recently recovered from being sick. She gave a heartfelt performance and truly showed her love for her fans through her singing. She delivered a five-star performance. Then it was Saosin's turn to take the stage, and the energy in the venue was electrifying. The crowd was ecstatic and fully engaged in the show. I was impressed by the songs performed, especially considering it was my first time hearing Saosin's music. The highlight for me was when Martina beautifully sang the June Carter Cash lyrics for the song "Jackson," while Saosin did a fantastic job with Johnny's lyrics. It was a magical moment that made me a lifelong Saosin fan. When they performed "Folsom Prison Blues," it was hands down the best rendition of the song I've ever heard. The band, "the Ace In The Hole Band," showcased their world-class talent, and every note they played was perfection. My wife was overjoyed and already wants to see Saosin perform again. I have since downloaded all of Saosin's hits on my iTunes account so I can relive that wonderful and entertaining evening. These artists truly care about their fans, and I highly recommend taking your entire family to experience this exceptional show. It's an unforgettable experience that you'll cherish. I hope they release a DVD of the concert so we can enjoy it once more.
